What is an Exercise Physiologist?
Like other allied health professionals such as a Physiotherapist or a Chiropractor, Exercise Physiologists (EP) are specialists in musculoskeletal injuries, dealing primarily with rehabilitation and strength and conditioning.
Exercise Physiologists deliver exercise and lifestyle programs for healthy individuals and those with a broad range of chronic conditions. This includes but is not limited to; one-to one sessions, exercise and program development, and health and wellness advice.
The aim of an Exercise Physiologist clinical exercise program is to prevent or manage chronic disease or injury, and assist in restoring your optimal physical function, health or wellness. Each exercise program is tailored to the patient and is designed to improve your condition and quality of life. As patients improve, the exercises will match their progression.
